Today in this digital world, when everything is digitalized then how photography can be behind in terms of digitization and use of digital technology. Almost everyone has digital cameras and Smartphone for clicking pictures that are digital in nature.
When you click a picture with a digital camera or Smartphone, the picture becomes digital and once you start editing that digital picture using a photo editor that is called
digital photograph editing.
If you are a professional photographer, you must be aware of digital photography and how to edit digital photographs to make them perfect. Here are some tips for beginners in digital photography editing:
- Use professional photo editors for digital photograph editing.
- Learn to use “Quick Access” or “Shortcut” keys for photo editing.
- Learn to adjust saturation, sharpness, brightness, and contrast.
- Learn to use special effects like blurring part of an image and advanced features like removing watermark, date stamps, text, background etc.
- Learn to use auto color and auto levels perfectly.
Start with taking professional looking photographs.
Practice composition, lighting, and all those other things that make a decent photo to begin with.
Then practice with the free photo editing tools, such as GIMP to get your feet wet.
If you don’t have much of a budget, Photoshop can be expensive, since it’s a subscription service. I use PaintShop Pro myself, since my needs are fairly simple.
But whatever software your use, find tutorials, and books, even classes that can guide you.
But keep practicing taking photos.
